Seamus Donnelly

Director of Player and Coaching  Development

Seamus Donnelly joined the HSC, in 2004, as Director of Coaching & Player Development.  His enthusiasm for the game of soccer began as a child in his home town of Dublin, Ireland.  He went on to an exciting collegiate career at Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire, and professional career with Virginia Beach Mariners and Charleston Battery.   During his soccer career, Seamus has been honored with the following:

  • 2 time All American Athlete
  • Academic All American
  • Scholar Athlete All American
  • 2 time NECC Player of the year
  • Team Captain and All Time leading scorer for the Virginia Beach Mariners of the professional A League
  • National Champion for the Charleston Battery
  • USSF "B" Licensed Coach
  • NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma
  • NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma

Seamus is involved with HSC's intramural program, from the Under 8's through Under 19's, as well as our travel program.  He is currently coaching the highly successful U17 Girls Xtreme travel team, the U10 Phantoms team, the U15 Blasters and the U14 Power.  Most importantly, he assists the coaches in providing a positive environment to enable each player to learn proper techniques and skills to fulfill their own soccer dreams.

Gary Ross ("Rossi")

Director of the HSC Academy

Gary Ross, or "Rossi" as he is best known to local players and soccer enthusiast, has joined the HSC coaching staff in 2006.

Gary has been involved in local soccer for the last 13 years.  His coaching and training expertise has touched many local soccer players from pre-school all the way thru high school.

Pete Shellenberger

 

Pete is a local product from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  After High School at Manheim Township, he went to Penn State University where he earned an athletic scholarship for soccer.  After a stellar college career he was drafted by the Harrisburg Heat (NPSL) and went on to play professional soccer.  He played three seasons in the professional ranks.  He has played with the Hershey Wildcats (A-League), The Reading Rage (PSL) and spent his last season playing with the Harrisburg City Islanders (PSL).  Pete has been teaching physical education at Solanco High School since 2004.  At Solanco he was the head varsity soccer coach for two seasons.  Pete is currently coaching the Penn Legacy U-10 Black boy’s team and is assisting with the U-17 girl’s team.  He also is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and has experience training athletes with strength, speed, agility and quickness.  

Pete has the following honors:

  • Record for goals scored (career and single season)
  • All-State and All-American
  • Athletic Hall of Fame

Penn State:

  • Captain in 1999
  • 1999 team holds the record for most wins in PSU soccer history
  • Two times All-Big Ten selection
  • Four year varsity starter
