COACHES' BIOS

Greg Madden has been coaching soccer since 1998, primarily with Hempfield Soccer Club (Penn Legacy as of Summer 2008). In addition to this team, he currently coaches the Penn Legacy Impact U19 Girls, administers Lancaster General College Athletics, and coordinates and coaches Hempfield Youth Association Girls' Intramural Basketball. He holds a USSF "D" Coach's License and a USSF Level 8 Referee's License.

Payce Madden has been playing soccer since 1998, primarily with Hempfield Soccer Club (Penn Legacy as of Summer 2008). She has been an assistant coach since Fall 2006 at the U9 and U10 levels, a clinician for U8 players in Hempfield, a talent evaluator for the Club, and holds a USSF "E" Coach's License and a USSF Level 8 Referee's License. She is also co-captain, starting wing, 2007 leading scorer, and 2006-2007-2008 leading placekick scorer for Hempfield Rugby Knightmares.

SOCCER ON TV

Every televised soccer game in the US is listed on www.livesoccertv.com. If you have cable in the Lancaster area, you are likely to get ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Telemundo, Univision, and Comcast Mid-Atlantic. You can safely ignore the other listings. Watching great soccer is a great way to learn positioning and other techniques of team play.

DIRECTIONS TO OTHER FIELDS

Redland Soccer Complex (Redland Fury, September 27)
From Lancaster: The Redland Complex is located off of I-83 halfway between Harrisburg and York; there is no good way to get there from Lancaster. You can either go to Harrisburg and pick up I-83 South, or you can go to York and pick up I-83 North. Once you are on I-83, take Exit 33 for Yocumtown. Regardless of which direction you come from, turn left at the end of the ramp. Go less than 1/2 a mile and turn right on Taylor Road. Follow Taylor Road for 1/2 a mile and take a sharp left on Old Quaker Road. Fields will be on the right.

Adam-Ricci Park (East Penn Panthers, October 25)
From Lancaster: Follow Route 283 towards Harrisburg until you reach Route 83 South. Proceed on Route 83 South past downtown Harrisburg and across the Susquehanna River. Continue straight ahead on I-581 (do NOT follow 83 South towards York) until you reach the Route 11/15 North exit for Camp Hill. Follow Route 11/15 roughly 1 mile. Turn left on North 21st Street. After 1/2 mile, veer left onto Center Street. After 2 more miles, turn left onto Magaro Road. Field F is on the left immediately after the volleyball court.

Keller Field (LDC United, November 8)
From Lancaster: Take 283 to the Middletown/Hummelstown exit as if you are going to Indian Echo Caverns. Turn right at the end of the ramp and head north towards Indian Echo Caverns and Hummelstown. When you reach Route 322 go straight across into Hummelstown. Continue straight through Hummelstown until you cross the river at the north edge of town. IMMEDIATELY across the river, turn left on the UNMARKED Hoernerstown Road. Continue past Duke Street then turn left on Stone Mill Road. You will see the fields on the right.
