Greg Madden has been coaching soccer since 1998, primarily with Hempfield Soccer Club (now Penn Legacy as of Summer 2008). In addition to this team, he currently coaches the Penn Legacy Attack U9 Girls, administers Lancaster General College Athletics, and coordinates and coaches Hempfield Youth Association Girls' Intramural Basketball. He holds a USSF "D" Coach's License and a USSF Level 8 Referee's License.

Penn Legacy 89 Black belong to Penn Legacy, the travel/premier arm of Hempfield Soccer Club.

For Fall 2008 we are playing in Lanco League.
Lanco League is a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA).
EPYSA is affiliated with US Youth Soccer.
US Youth Soccer is an affiliate of the United States Soccer Federation.
The USSF is a member of the Federation International de Football Association (FIFA).

Over the winter, we'll play indoors at either Lanco Fieldhouse or Red Rose Indoor Arena.

Every televised soccer game in the US is listed on www.livesoccertv.com. If you have cable in the Lancaster area, you are likely to get ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Telemundo, Univision, and Comcast Mid-Atlantic. You can safely ignore the other listings. Watching great soccer is a great way to learn positioning and other techniques of team play.

East Petersburg Elementary School / field map
Mapquest Address. 1900 Linden Street, East Petersburg PA
From Route 741 exit of Route 283 (which is two miles west of the 30/283 interchange in Lancaster). Take Route 741 exit. Go north 2 miles on Route 741 West until you see East Petersburg Elementary School on your left. Park in one of the school lots. Fields are behind the school. This is a large complex. We generally use fields farthest from the school.

Hempfield High School Soccer Quad
Mapquest Address. 350 Mumma Drive, Landisville PA
From Landisville/Route722 exit of Route 283 (which is four miles west of the 30/283 interchange in Lancaster). If coming from the direction of Harrisburg, turn right at the end of the ramp onto State Road. If coming from the direction of Lancaster, turn left at the end of the ramp onto State Road. Follow State Road roughly 1/2 mile to the light at Yellow Goose Road. Turn right. At the end of Yellow Goose Road, turn right on Harrisburg Pike. Go roughly 2 miles to the light at Church Street. Turn left. Go roughly 1/2 mile. Turn right on Kauffman Road. The High School will be on your right. Continue 1/4 mile and turn left on Mumma Drive. Soccer quad is 1/4 mile on the left.

Fairgrounds (Rising Star)
Take Route 72 North towards Lebanon. After passing the PA Turnpike continue straight ahead for three or four miles and make sure you stay on Route 72 as it splits apart from Route 322. At the traffic light for Rocherty Road (the second light?), turn right. Go to the next traffic light (Cornwall Road) and go straight. The Lebanon Area Fairgounds will be on your right. Turn into the Fairgrounds at the second road on the right. The soccer fields will be on your left. These fields are approximately 40 minutes from East Petersburg.

Ephrata Middle School (Ephrata)
Enter Ephrata on Route 272 North (you can reach Route 272 North from the Brownstown exit of Route 222). In Ephrata, you can EITHER (1) turn left on Meadow Valley Road then right on Hammon Avenue; OR (2) turn left on Academy Drive then left on Hammon Avenue. Either way, you end up in the Ephrata Middle School complex.
